Sizzling Social Brisket

Have you ever wondered what the secret sauce to social media success is? Well lucky for you, we have the answers and we’re serving them up for you on a silver platter. In this month’s blog, were cutting into our Sizzling Social Brisket to give you a sneak peak at how we win on social. Let’s dig in!

Step One – Marinate and Prep
What makes a good brisket? We’d say thoughtful and careful preparation. The same is true when it comes to being successful on social. When you’re setting up or optimizing your campaigns, be sure to give your brand some thought. Ask yourself the Who, What, Where, When and Why questions.

  • Who are your followers?
  • What do they want to hear?
  • Where are they geographically?
  • When are they active on social?
  • Why should they care about your company?

Similar to your seasonings and cut of meat, quality is key. It’s better to have a smaller social following that is invested in your brand and cares enough to engage than a large group who isn’t actively invested in you.

Step Two – Smoke for 8 Hours
Just like a good piece of meat, building your social proof and gaining followers takes time, so be patient and don’t become discouraged when it doesn’t happen instantly. Also make sure to prioritize time to create relevant content and check in on your audience. Your metrics will provide you with insight on the temperature of the market and how receptive your audience is to your content. No good grill master leaves his masterpiece unattended.

Step Three – Serve and Sauce it Up
Your hard work has paid off. The meat is on the plate and it’s time to add the final touches. Once you’ve built out your audience and you feel that you have nailed down your messaging, you can relax… but not for to long. People are on social to be social. Think creatively and outside of the box. Don’t fall into complacency after all the hard work you’ve put in. Think about how good some caramelized onions or mushrooms would be with that brisket… yum. Continue to have fun with your brand and keep trying new flavors. You never know what might work!
